Northland Chamber Honors Bulldogs at Excellence in Education Banquet

Kearney School District was proud to celebrate five members of the Bulldog family on Tuesday evening, April 21, during the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce’s 2026 Excellence in Education Awards Banquet at the KCI Expo Center.
Puppy Pound Lead Stephanie Dolinar and Kearney Elementary Custodian Greg Nelson were each recognized with Excellence in Service to Education Awards, while Kearney High School Chemistry Teacher Dr. Brad Miller received an Excellence in Teaching Award.
In addition, KHS seniors Abigail McQuillen and Kelsey Pratt each received Excellence in Education scholarships from the chamber.
These honors reflect the many ways KSD students and staff members make a difference every day. Whether they are creating welcoming spaces for children and families, caring for our schools, inspiring students in the classroom, or pursuing their own goals and futures, Stephanie, Greg, Dr. Miller, Abigail and Kelsey represent the very best of Kearney School District. We are grateful to see their efforts recognized on a regional stage. Congratulations to all five on these well-deserved honors!
KSD will continue celebrating excellence next Thursday, April 30, when we announce this year’s district Teacher of the Year and Support Staff of the Year recipients during the 2026 Team KSD Awards & Retiree Reception.
