Kearney School District Superintendent Emily Miller and our administrative team hosted Kearney Chamber of Commerce members for the organization's monthly luncheon today at Kearney Junior High. The event included a special lunch catered by Southwest Foodservice Excellence, KSD's child nutrition services vendor.

As members visited, a slideshow thanked members for supporting our Bulldogs and featured photos of KSD leaders posing at Chamber member locations around Kearney during a recent team-building activity.

A group of people smile while holding a sign that says "Thank You for Backing Our Bulldogs!!!".

After welcoming the roomful of Chamber members, Dr. Miller shared some basic facts about the district, highlighted the progress we've made as promised on our Prop B zero-tax-rate-increase capital improvement bond projects, talked about our fiscal stewardship and closed with some of the challenges and opportunities we face moving forward. A copy of her presentation is attached to this post.

We're very grateful to Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Stacie Bratcher and the Chamber's Board, staff and members for all their amazing support for our school system. Great Partners in Education help make Kearney a wonderful place to live!
