Missouri State High Patrol Trooper Brian R. Siercks, a 2011 graduate of Kearney High School, has been promoted to the rank of corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 4, serving the citizens of Clay County.
The announcement was made by Captain Steven V. Wilhoit, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, Mo, according to a press release posted on the MSHP website.
Corporal Siercks is currently a member of the Troop A Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT). His promotion takes effect on Nov. 1.
Siercks was appointed to the MSHP on July 1, 2015, as a member of the 101st Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop A, Zone 14, Bates County. On May 1, 2020, Siercks transferred to Zone 3, serving the citizens of Clay County, where he remained until his promotion.
Corporal Siercks was born and raised in Kearney and attended Kearney Elementary School. Before joining the Patrol, he graduated in 2015 from Park University in Parkville with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Corporal Siercks is married to Kaylie (Arthur) Siercks.
